Meyerhold Quoted
Vsevolod Meyerhold
I want to burn with the spirit of the times. I want all servants of the stage to recognize their lofty destiny. I am disturbed at my comrades' failure to rise above narrow caste interests which are alien to the interests of society at large. Yes, the theatre can play an enormous part in the transformation of the whole of existence
The art of the theatre doesn't progress, but only changes its means of expression, depending upon the character of the period, its ideas, psychology, technology, architecture, its style. We shouldn't forget conventions change. In life we easily sense the falsity of antiquated conventions, but in the theatre we often applaud them out of habit.

How I Envision the show is a frantic assembly style piece. very much ensemble work and very physical. it would also be a verbatim piece (not in the doumentry style) mimicking spoken word.
For those who are not familiar with Frantic assembly's work here is a link;
and here is an introduction to verbatim theatre.
Any and all feedback and opinions are welcome with open arms.

Wednesday 8th
Hello all, my apologies. just heard from sarah who cannot make the morning tomorrow as she needs a longer appointment. She will be with first years in the afternoon. If you want feedback on monologues please join them from 1.30. Otherwise, please take the day to complete tasks we discussed or indeed, look at Brighton venues if appropriate. Emporium is a good possibility so have a look at that if you are in town.
My apologies see you on Thursday
