Physical Theatre for Fringe
Looking into Ami's idea of the three couples in house, I saw this video that I thought was good for the Gay Couple, Let me know what you think, Its just an idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8lP5Ae0nv0
It is a video of two guys i think doing a physical theatre assessment so its not the best filmed piece. Also dont judge the piece on the first 20 odd seconds cause it does get more meaningful.

The Trench
Les Enfants Terribles tour the UK
with their award-winning show, The Trench.
From the team behind The Terrible
Infants, Ernest and the Pale Moon and The Vaudevillains, comes a new play
inspired by the true story of a miner who became entombed in a tunnel during
World War One.
As the horror threatens to engulf
him, he finds that not everything in the darkness is what it seems as he starts
to discover a new, strange world beneath the mud and death. Setting off on an
epic journey of salvation, the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur as
he questions what’s real, what’s not and whether it even matters?
Blending live music, puppetry and
physical performance, The Trench is the critically acclaimed new show from
“razor sharp theatre company” Les Enfants Terribles (The Telegraph). The
company has performed productions to thousands of people all over the world
including theatres in Poland, Czech Republic, Dubai, Norway, Singapore,
Australia, and has toured extensively all over the UK winning vast critical
acclaim.
Written by Oliver Lansley (BBC2’s
Whites, ITV2’s FM and SKY’S Little Crackers) with music by acclaimed artist
Alexander Wolfe. Alexander has performed with many artists including Jamie
Cullen and Paul Weller before embarking on a solo career with his debut album
Morning Brings a Flood winning huge acclaim from the New York Post to The
Sunday Times to name a few.
Directed by James Seager and
Oliver Lansley.

Murder Mystery set ideas
Murder Mystery:
- actors in a freeze frame, smoke (so you can't see the chalk outline) and maybe red lighting.
- audience come in.
- a scream from all of us or a creepy noise is heard.
- black out, actors disperse into different areas of the set.
- audience is allowed to walk around the space.
- actors do each 3 repetitive movements.
- actors come back together to repeat the first freeze frame and the scream.

Our idea for this unit is based around greif and loss.
The basic plot line we have been working from is:
- Husband and Wife in domestic bliss
- Husband dies unexpectedly
- Wife revisits her life with him through a series of memories incorporating the use of peppers ghost
- Wife is unable to move on with the memories of her husband being so raw and decided to sell the house.
This is the basic plot structure we are working from today, we are looking into ways in which we can portray the complete sense of loss felt when a loved one dies and how this can be shown through the use of peppers ghost.
1) First image consists of a series of movents carried out, as they are everyday, but the two characters - making coffee/ cooking etc
3) The series of images here would be the wife rvisiting the memoris she has of her husband - sees him in the room...re lives previous interactions. This can be a repeat of the first image they did together and then go off into things that remind her of him.
we are working on the images at the moment, and this is obviously just a basic plot line with things we want to explore further. The idea is that peppers ghost is not a ghost but a memory and the other charcters who interact with him, do not acknowledge his presence as anything more than in their own heads.
