Emotions

Yesterday when we has the discussion about Brighton Frindge I suggested as an idea that we could all play a different emotion and create a story about how the emotions come about and how they react to each other. Well I looked the idea up to think about how the brain works and how your body shows emotion, but unfortunately it's currently being used by Pixar - this is  the trailer.

  1. Hey Anna,
I noticed this film is an animation?
Does this affect our ability to create a piece of live theatre about emotion?
    if so, why?

  2. Not at all, because the animators and graphic designers are using actors to create these characters to see how their facial expressions, body language and speach convay each feeling before creating an animation of them. You have to see how the actors/people show these emotions before animating because you don't want to show a false perspective of these. Does this make sense? I'm not very good at explaining. It would be something different and fun to try maybe in a workshop before deciding on a final idea or bring aspects of this idea into the final show?
