This image shows the same sort of thing but showing three naked people who have been painted on to create the whole picture of a tiger.
After looking at the body paint I thought it might be a cool idea to show the dragons skin painted on to somebody and then people can rip apart the persons clothing to unveil parts of the dragon.
After thinking about how the dragon could come to life, I saw this and thought it would be a good idea to try it out sometime on someone. We could experiment with different types of netting, paint, glitter and gems with it.
After looking at the netting idea to create scales of the dragon (or any monster) I came across this. I love the way her face has been deeply contoured by using pinks and purples with the use of netting to create the scales. Her eyebrows have been painted over and then re-drawn in a different place to show the characters of the dragons face.
This is a really nice subtle way of showing the dragon, the whole of her eyelid has been coloured in green shadow and then someone has added elements of gold which brings the green to life and makes it pop. The eyebrows have been given studs to create the effect of the dragons scales or horns for the tail and the black eyeliner makes the whites of her eyes stand out which together makes this look very creating and eye-catching.
This image really caught my attention as at first glance it's an eyeball, but when you look closely it's someone's lips that have been made (very convincingly) into an eyeball with the use of make up and false eyelashes. This would be a great idea to use if you wanted to freak someone out or to be used as an idea for the monster, as seeing some one with three eyes could be scary and un-nerving. It could almost play with the ciclops (one eye in the middle of the fore-head).
Still on the subject of lips and eyes, this image show peoples lips that have been created to look like animals using makeup. This is a simple idea but could work out really well when if you wanted to describe or tell a story to someone. If you only saw peoples lips (the paper idea) and someone was telling their own personal story I think it would work very well and Im going to try this idea out for myself.
Makeup doesn't have to be just for the animals but it could be part of the army as well. For example when we fight people could rip parts of peoples clothing off (just like the dragon idea) to unveil a skeleton. I feel people watching this would be very scared and on edge to see something so nasty to look at - if it was also covered in blood to create a bigger effect on the audience.
We could even have makeup to look like that we have been battered and bruised from fighting, given scars, cuts, black eyes, etc.
