Point-Evidence-Explain

P-Twitter-social media can be used to engage an audience in a non theoretical setting

E-“Theatre is not dependant on location” (weaver2009:2)

E-Theatre can be done in many locations such as the street and not necessarily just on stage. Weaver backs this with his quote. Marcus Lilley is a good example of showing this in his work. He uses theatre in many different locations and pulls his audience in using social networking sites such as twitter. For example one of his works called “The Darkened City” is told through different social networking sites taking the audience on a journey through these.

“Told through tweets, emails photos, live performance, installation and exhibition, ‘The Darkened City’ is an immersive, interactive theatre performance taking place in a fictional city where the rules are there to be broken, corruption is rife, and everyone is out for their own personal gain” (http://pcmcreative.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/09/the-darkened-city-a-digital-theatre-experience.html)
