telling stories

Dear Melissa and Sarah,
wish you could have been with us today. i personally had a very lovely day. we did a 2 hour Gamelan  workshop. i think we were very good.

Then we told folk stories and personal stories.
the miller's tale
gud brand
the village of zor
the bear who found fire
the old brewery
the house with chicken feet
sticky cinderella
Ganesha

I hope you will get to hear about Cody's cog, Baby J Bear, Victor's window bum, Dan's bedpan, Shivam's football danger, Charlotte's forbidden pink thing, Ami's curly fry, Jack's beautiful days, how  Georgia's earring got stuck on her tights and why Anna wants to be a killer whale.

some ideas and choices for the show.

  • do we tell one story from different perspectives?
  • do we tell lots and lots of stories, mythical, folklore and personal?
  • do we keep interrupting our fictional story/stories with personal anecdotes?
  • maybe every time a certain word or prop is used it triggers a personal story that interrupts the action? maybe not all stories need to be finished.
I will do another post on notes that came up from the story-telling that needs commenting on, and look out for jack's thought of today. Hopefully today.

See you tomorrow.
